Identifying on Mastery Concept of Statistical Research by Using Problem-Based Learning

Abstract


Based on the problems obtained, the ability of students to master the subjects of research statistics is still categorized as low until this causes them to be weak in completing their final assignments. Therefore, the researcher investigated how the mastery of students was the statistical concept of their research by using learning innovations, one of which was Problem Based Learning. The research method is quantitative with a number of samples 245. The research instrument was using questionnaires and MCQs. The results will then be analyzed using simple regression analysis. PBL affects the mastery of research statistical concepts. In male students 6th semesters, the influence of PBL the mastery ability of the research statistic concept contributed 72%. The 6th semester female students, the influence of PBL on the mastery ability of the statistical research concept contributed 67%. Meanwhile, for male students in 8th semesters, the influence of PBL on mastery of research statistical concepts contributed 68%. For 8th semester female students, the influence of PBL on mastery of the concept of research statistic contributed 70%. These results indicate that there is an influence of PBL on mastery of the concept of research statistics with a significance value of < 0.05.
