Title: International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education ISSN / E-ISSN: 2252-8822 / 2620-5440 Publisher: Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science
Dear Lina Handayani,
The title mentioned above has been re-evaluated by the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) to determine whether the title meets the content selection standards of Scopus today. The re-evaluation of this title is now complete and it was decided to continue with the indexing of this title in Scopus and any content that was paused during the re-evaluation will be added to Scopus within 4 weeks.
For your information, the reason for making this decision is: The editorial board remains international though most members are from weaker institutions. Sample papers are by a mix of international authors, though more are from Malaysia. Paper quality is average - most are standard data analysis without strong conceptual novelty and/or theoretical frameworks. Cited references are fair. But overall academic contributions are fairly limited. Citations are fair with some relatively well cited papers (though many citing journals are not that strong). In summary, the journal's current performance is sufficient to remain indexed in Scopus. But editors are urged to maintain high publication standards and curb high self-citations in a few related education journals.
Please note that Scopus is monitoring the quality of all journals indexed in the database on a continuous basis and therefore this title may be subject to re-evaluation again in the future.
