Comparison of Student Attitudes Towards Natural Sciences

Abstract


The attitude of students when the learning process is important to be known by an educator to know how to deal with students in the class. This study aims to determine how students 'attitudes towards science subjects and this study also aim to determine whether there is a comparison of students' attitudes towards natural science subjects in junior high schools in Indonesia. This research was conducted at a state junior high school in Jambi. Specifically, this research was conducted at SMP N 5, SMP N 6, SMP N 26 in Jambi. The design in this study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. This research instrument uses a science attitude questionnaire. In this study, the data were analyzed with two statistics namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that students' attitudes toward science subjects based on indicators of adoption of scientific attitudes, fun learning science and interest in increasing the time to study science in good categories and also the attitude of students towards science subjects in the three schools there is a comparison of 0.042 < 0.05
